A short walk from Playa Castell are these charming little fisherman’s huts that have now become beach huts .

Jerome painted this on his first ever trip abroad, he had driven in his old banger down from the ferry at Bilbao to Palafrugell.

Sleeping on the beaches and in the Pine woods of the area. He only managed two watercolours on the trip due to the heat and some  cervesa. I am not sure how he ever got back to the UK but he reappeared two months later having also visited Geneva.
